A little bit of history and background information

Samsung Electronics has recently been named as the one of the top three consumer electronics brand in the world. It's also an acknowledged leader in the digital technology revolution. Since its inception in 1969, Samsung has successfully transitioned from the old style analogue driven product line to a cutting-edge and award winning digital innovator that is currently the world's number one manufacturer of CDMA mobile phones, LCD and CRT TVs and monitors, DRAM memory chips and microwave ovens. With worldwide electronic product sales of upto 36.9 billion dollars, over 75,000 employees and a global network in 47 countries, Samsung is truly a global giant and has been recognised as one of the world's top 100 Brands by Business Week mag.

Samsung Electronics (UK) Ltd (SEUK) entered the UK market in 1984 and has since seen explosive growth and success, especially within the mobile phone market, with projected revenues of £995 million in 2005. SEUK's head office is based in Chertsey, Surrey and additional sites that have been established include a European Customer Service and Distribution Centre in Telford and a research centre in Middlesex, where nearly 200 people are employed.

SEUK’s product portfolio is split into three main areas – IT Products (Mobile Computing, Fax & Printer, Display & Storage), Consumer Products (White and Brown Goods) and Mobile.

SEUK work with many other organisations on many different types of promotional activities. Our current main alliance is with Chelsea Football Club. Samsung are their main sponsor for 2005/6 and Samsung are working to maximise this opportunity in many ways.
